Decarb Tip-Sheets
Decarbonization Tip-Sheets
There are many ways manufacturing and industrial facilities can reduce energy use and carbon emissions. These nine tip-sheets and primers provide a quick, accessible way to get a basic understanding of various decarbonization technologies and processes that help facilities achieve these reductions.
Check out these tipsheets to get started on your organization's decarbonization efforts:
Technology Tip-Sheets
Some of these tip sheets cover a fundamental concept related to one of these clean technologies, such as the Carnot cycle underlying electric heat pumps. Each tip-sheet includes a breakdown of the relevant engineering equations and a worked example showing how to apply the equations and concepts to your facility. These examples show you how to calculate everything from energy and cost savings to carbon implications, including levelized cost of avoided carbon dioxide (if applicable).
Strategy Tip-Sheets
We also offer tip-sheets on broader strategies and concepts. These tip-sheets can help facilities prioritize decarbonization measures, understand scope 2 emissions, reduce emissions through purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), and access a variety of industrial decarbonization tools for facilities.
